Dr. Karl-Ludwig Scherer

Born on July 27, 1919 in Obdach, the former city counselor received the honorary ring on September 16, 1982.
After earning a law PhD in 1950, Scherer entered the Styrian administration in 1952, where he successfully worked in different departments. He was politically devoted to municipal matters. He was district director to St. Leonhard, member of the municipal counsel and city counselor. As such he was mostly concerned with matters of real estate and education. He was especially appreciated for creating a positive democratic atmosphere among members of all parties. In 1972 Dr. Karl Scherer was awarded the great honorary badge of the Republic of Austria. In 1979 he received the Austrian silver long-service medal.
