Ljubljana today
Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia and also its largest city and political, economic and cultural hub. Ljubljana is the seat of the Roman Catholic archdiocese with the same name and became a university city in 1919. Slovenia joined the EU in 2004 and has experienced a tourism boom ever since. The country adopted the Euro in 2007.
