Partnership with Graz
Trondheim became a Graz partner city in 1968. The friendship originated in the relations maintained by the two cities' Universities of Technology. In 1968, a city partnership was ratified that linked Darmstadt, Graz and Trondheim.

Trondheim today
Trondheim is Norway's third-largest and second-oldest city, located at the estuary of the Nidelva River in the Sor-Trondelag province. In addition to the city itself, Trondheim is also the name of the community that comprises the settlements surrounding the city. Trondheim is a retail and administrative centre for Central Norway.
