An exceptional visit was received by DI Elke Achleitner, Director City Survey, DI Bernhard Inninger, Director Town Planning at the Building Authority of the City of Graz: A high-ranking delegation with experts from Saudi Arabia's High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh, Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA), participated in workshops on the planning, processing and utilization of geo-data within the City of Graz. The guests were impressed by the high efficiency in the Graz administration by utilizing WEB GIS technologies.

Introduction of several Projects

In addition to town planning and environmental solutions, the delegation from the Middle East was interested in terrestrial and photogrammetric data collection and -processing, the administration, preparation and analytics of geo-data. Further, interest was towards the distribution and publication of geo-information within the more than 120 WEB GIS applications and 1.000+ layers managed by a team of 3 GIS experts only as well as in the technical infrastructure. General tenor: The guests from Saudi Arabia were impressed, with how little personnel expenditure such a wide product range can be offered. Among the presented projects of the cities survey department were highlights like the Geoportal, the 3-D-Citymodell of the Graz' World Cultural Heritage, the Solar Roof Cadastre or Urban Mining Cadastre.
